William Phillips Sr. was the Great Grandfather of Pete Phillips - he came From Cornwall England, was a Blacksmith in the coal mining town of Beaver Meadows Pa. and was very involved in the Methodist Episcopal Church. By his first wife he had three (3) sons, William, John, James. After her death he married Catherine Susann Mcgrann and had two (2) more sons Charles Spade Phillips and Edgar Cerner Phillips (Pop), father of Joseph Edgar Phillips Sr. (Pop-Pop) & Grandfather of Pete Phillips.
